CUPRA #CRASHTEXTAUTO

What if in-game texting and driving could stop real-life texting and driving?
Regardless hundreds of PSAs we’ve seen over the past decade, people still use their phones behind the wheel. Especially young drivers. And while influencers get the blame for glamorizing it online, there’s a place where this behavior is completely normalized — gaming. More precisely: GTA V.

So we decided to hijack the online game’s texting mechanic to deliver a powerful message: in GTA, you crash and respawn. In real life, you don’t. During the 8th United Nations Global Road Safety Week, we're joining lobbies and targeting players exactly while they're driving.
CUPRA CrashTextAuto turns one of the world’s most reckless driving games into a powerful PSA against texting and driving. Obvious initiative for a brand that truly lives for the thrill of driving — but knows the real power of driving responsibly.
